The NITI Membership System
As mentioned in our Home Page, NITI IS NOT AN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE where translators and interpreters are trained; rather, NITI IS A PROFESSIONAL BODY of hundreds of qualified professional linguists (Professors, Doctors, Masters, Bachelors, etc), as well as future professional linguists (language students) who were trained or are being trained in Nigeria or elsewhere in the world. NITI is to Nigerian Translators and Interpreters as NBA is to Nigerian Lawyers, NMA is to Nigerian Doctors, ICAN is to Nigerian Accountants, etc.

Many members of NITI are also members of Professional Bodies of different foreign countries, as well as AIIC and FIT. NITI professionals work in Arabic, English, French, German, Hausa, Igbo, Italian, Latin, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Yoruba and other Nigerian and African languages. Many, not all, members of NITI can be consulted directly through this website, depending on the member’s choice. To consult a professional, click on the language you are interested in.
